Short term 10min suggests a bounce Friday, long term BPNYA shows that BPNYA has not yet bottomed (suggests further weakness in the markets)


Russl looks to have plenty of poorly placed shorts, here is 1 minute PF, the long tail down with immediate rejection is bullish, moreso for a few days if we can get any volume above 96.xx+

(but its been skittish and weaker relative to Spy since thursday close)

Noticed a few key posts yesterday:

Uempel you posted a chart with a 2:30 signal and were only 5 minutes off missing the start of the afternoon plunge nice job.

Al you posted a breakdown below the 377 MA on the hourly chart. Have you watched this long enough to use this like Cobra's non-stop model where you should now be short or at least not long?

Tradergirl I saw your longer view of tops at 2000 and 2007 and how this move may be a failed breakout above that line. Wondering if you have given that more thought or if this was just something you noticed.

Normally I don't re-read the day's posts but with the action yesterday I did just that and was glad I did or wouldn't have noticed these insightful posts (along with the contributions of "the regulars" you know who you are too many to list). Good stuff everybody.

Dorsey Wright P & F chart of BPNYSE turned to O's on Thur..This now puts the mkt in dn trend for a few weeks. Now lets see how long the mkt stays in dn trend and how hi it will pop up in the next couple of days.

SPX 10min and BPNYA weekly - 10min suggests a bounce today BPNYA suggests further weakness in the days/weeks ahead

The mkt ( S & P ) may go up 30/40 points to burn off this over sold condition then it is very possible to see a dn move to the 1550/60 area. Could be a choppy few days.

ES 1585.50 to 1586 +/- was a bloody battle ground last night. Critical level that will likely be tested. Needs to hold for bulls, needs to break for bears

IB shows the SPY div was $0.8391 last night. Anyone have any ideas how/why SPY did not open lower by close to that amount??
