Note how a pBAR pair that appeared on Oct First on QQQ indicated the size of two corrective legs. We may be done with the current correction (pure speculation)
Hi FlowerGirl, any idea why the PBars that appear on your FreeStockCharts do not appear on mine. Is it because they only appear in real time?

As of this close? I'm not a P&F guy... don't know what I'm looking at.

Kind of makes you have little faith in those p&f targets. They do always seem tremendously exaggerated. Methodology must be flawed.

Especially with VIX I'd wouldn't give the targets to much credence as it was 8.. now 25.. but the key thing is it did break out.. whether it'll go higher not so sure, we also closed outside of the BB band today.. so maybe a tad extended.. but doesn't mean not higher... just more caution is warranted, than normal.

Here's the SPX target... I like to look P&F charts more for a fresh look at resistance/support lines

For the record HUI (Gold Bugs) is sitting on THE long term trendline as of the close. For the sake of disclosure I'm long GDX and I'm giving it some breathing room as I can see a run down to the weekly BB to shake out short-term traders buying the trendline.

She was the shooter, what the heck would you expect? Women don't get a free pass (just) based on their looks. I think the baby was the mastermind.
How hard is it to shoot out the tires of a vehicle?

The 34 year old woman had no weapon of any kind. Shoot first, ask questions later, I guess. How hard is it to shoot out the tires of a vehicle?

I was digging through old posts after dredging up the past today and found this: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=404&p=52313#p52313 seldom do you get to look back on a call memorialized by a post and are able to give the opposite call on the same day but today is that day... I was looking at SEF and seeing a trend-starting set-up. Inverse (short) trend-starting signals on inverse ETFs aren't anywhere near as "good" as bull ETF bullish trend starting signals but I'm seeing what I'm seeing and SEF is looking set for a trend-start... NOT A RECOMMENDATION, just an observation. Signal would be confirmed with price action open below the 100DMA and RISING above with a close above this is what I call an "early bird" signal, the trend isn't confirmed until the 50 crosses above the 100 so wild swings that turn against your position are still possible (the trend isn't really established). Again inverse ETFs aren't don't give the best signals but based on what I am seeing in the market right now it seems entirely possible this could be a big trend start.

Disclosure: I did not ride this trend (I wish I had). I am only now learning to try to hold positions for as long as possible (ask me how hard it is right now...). The trend starting signals I have back-tested and I have the back-test stats posted somewhere on here in the archives. It was pretty darn good and it caught the trend-start in the market from 12/2011.
