Nice. My short is back on.
sweet ... good luck to you sir. keep stops tight, i think this rally is much more than window dressing now since everyone thinks the greece problem is solved... hopefully the vote won't go through
I don't think the risk/reward is attractive to short at the end of June, not to mention today's market.
Well then look at the data and be convinced that way, instead. Look at the monthly closes for the past several months and consider what a short would have done for you, had you gone against the "month end is up, so buy" crowd. Just sayin'.

No one has said anything on the phantom dn pop to127.96 made at 12:50. I don't put to much faith in them but I have seen they do work sometimes. Let see.

Agreed, it's priced in already. Hence the Euro and market action over the past few days. Could be a sell the news type day tomorrow.

The mkt may have discounted this during the last 2 days.

yep anaconda has a point. ever since that article in the WSJ came out a few months ago about first of month rallies it stopped working. now they either rally it up a few days before the end of the month then sell on the first.

Be careful, nothing is certain. No one thought the (initial) TARP vote would fail either. I remember very clearly because I was very long.

Given the complex H&S bottom S&P is forming, that is a reasonable level for a pullback this week.

tomorrow, the vote is on whether to vote on the austerity package. That vote occurs on thursday.
at 3amEST, (10am local time) will start the session, but there is no fixed time for the occurence of the vote.

key points ahead are 84.75 and 90.5
this market is boring. since 10:00 we don't have any significant move. indicators are negative while price is stubborn. 1 is dragging the other.
as a trader, i need fluctuation and volatility. hope my short will be triggered this time
shorted at 91.5 as planned. show me some movement! to cover at 1284.75
The goal is not uniformity. It is understanding and idea exchange.
this is not the 2 legged down I was expecting. now i see volume surge, no idea if the pullback stops here. today feels very strange, but no argue, up is up.

The people who are perma-bearish need to remember that the world can keep bailing out Greece or whoever else needs help for many years to come without immediate consequence. Are the bears prepared to sit through two years of rallying because they're expecting things to fall apart?
