You see, if something unexpected in greece/europe happens over the weekend, a crash is a real possibility. :o

I won't bet my trade on this kind of rare case.

So we need to keep tracking the daily prices of SDS and SSO, and then calculate the ATR by ourselves? Or, is there any place from where we can get the info (hopefully, I’m not the only lazy-bones...hehehe...)?
you can put ATR indicator on your daily chart then you shall have the ATR value.

I'd prefer to use %. Say, the current SSO 2*ATR(10) is 5% while SDS 2*ATR(10) is 6%. So whatever your entry price, times 95% is your stop loss price.
Got you...thanks for the help, Ban Zhang! 8-)

SPX just putting in its neckline around 1345 for its inverse head and shoulders that will take it to 1460 over the coming months, pullback to about 1313 coming next week, last time to jump on board! Remember it was July 20, that we landed on the moon!

A second look at this long term dotted black channel and a close up. Unless area around 1340 gets pierced on a closing basis, I have a bearish bias.

This is a real manipulation. They printed something on IYR a month back which is being hit today. The way they communicate is to post targets on various instruments, indeed, Cobra is wrong and we will sell off to those levels. This has been communicated by insiders. In fact, there is a motion sent to the SEC regarding this manipulation.

Petsamo, from what trading platform did you get this bad tick? I do not see it in my chart.

Umpel, try drawing that dashed line by unchecking the log scale option...

doesn't matter to me anyway, when the market starts to drop, I'd make sure I can run faster than most retailers. I just don't front run the market.

OK. As long as there is no flash crash, you're fine, but similar flash prints occurred the day before the flash crash.

I won't bet on crash which rarely happens. that said, I'm very careful here, this market sure looks crazy. looks a lot like me Mar's stock market which there's no word called "pullback". yeah, you stupid earth people. we Martian never need to work. We retire as soon as we born.

It's days like this which have caused so many investors to leave the equity market. Can't say I blame them.

I think Ben saved all his money for today. To him the last week of June includes July 1.
