does this mean the pbars are actual trades and not signalling devices?
if yes how do they get in trades so far off the market price?

daytradeES,

"actual" means the approximate actual price at around the time of the block trade alert
For example, in the post above, the approximate actual was 117.77 at around the time of the block trade alert of 117.22 at 14 PM

Other than that, I don't really know much about p-bars and block trades. MrMiyagi and panbuk would know more.
It's just one newbie's attempt to see if p-bars and block trade alerts can be profitably tradeable, or not.

This is exactly same question I have
Before I saw it in action, I thought these are algo tricks from level 2 or smth like that but those are real trades with prices so far off the current price.
They don't have instant impact to the current price but market always follows the block trade/pbar price. Always for bulls considering Feds want this market up for now.

The original play was by Christopher Marlowe, published in 1604. There is a wonderful scene when the devil proposes to show Faust the seven wonders of the world. Faust said, “but first, I want to see that beauty whose face launched a thousand ships”, who is, of course Helen of Troy.

I had an opportunity to use this while teaching advanced biomedical students the theories of bioenergetics. The first exam contained a 20 point question asking if they knew basic concepts and definitions of thermodynamics. “This is for information only; if you don’t know the answer, just say so”.

The last question was “What is the definition of a millihelen?” The answer, of course, is “that amount of beauty required to launch one ship”.
Off subject?

We definitely don't agree here. I never read Marlowe, we read Urfaust and Faust.

And if I check the Encyclopedia Britannica I read:

"Faust" and the adjective "Faustian" imply a situation in which an ambitious person surrenders moral integrity in order to achieve power and success for a delimited term.

I think this is very appropriate in regard to what the central bankers are doing, exactly to the point.
