The shanghai run can be traced back to the EXACT day of the news about a new technology “link” between the Hong Kong and Shanghai exchanges, allowing more inter-exchange buying of Shanghai shares for the very first time in history. I posted that on 11/11, I had no idea it would result in such a boom in Shanghai and barely a blip in Hong Kong
I don't know the proper name for it, it's like a "situational" run rather than an "organic" or "fundamental" run.
