Honk,Beep, approaching VWAP of this down channel. A ways back I studied this trader who did very well on going long ('cept in very bearish market) on 3rd down touch of bottom trend line. Just a gut feeling I think the # III will be 3rd touch (as opposed to the #3 -see chart) but if price manages to go above down channel's VWAP then W a i t.
Mr. Miyagi should you ask I am not going to loan or give you my kidney because you just re-sell it and I double confirm whatever you post Al Dent!

Usually helpful Tick was evil today.
It predicted 2 squeezes that didn’t get very far, now calling for a third squeeze
(score: SPY = 2, Tick = 0)
The fact that the first two squeezes couldn’t reach a high is bearish; it means bears are still holding firm-ish and not covering their shorts like honey badgers. We’ll see if 3rd time is charm.

JNUG is going to close above the 20 MA after all. Still not interested. My primary precious metals buy signal hasn't triggered yet. Maybe as early as next week we'll get something more definitive. I'm fine buying up rather than picking the bottom.

The first day of the year indicator is not great but it's better than 2014, which saw a -0.9% down day to start the year. The S&P still closed +11% that year, so all in all, no bad omens for the market today.
