vol surge, so might be a rebound here but maybe the pullback isn't over yet.

Well, let's all go to bank and borrow hundreds of billions then just don't pay back.
I heard now that the (political) EU might pay the money Greece owes the IMF on June 30th - but it's only a rumor. Reasoning would be that Greece is part of "a Club" and that the others should back up Greek obligations. As I wrote - it's only a rumor and it only concerns the (minor) IMF debt.
this essentially means everyone can learn from Greece, just keep borrowing money and refuse any austerity measure. If the market cheers for this, then this market really only cares what happens today, not future.

FDAX (DAX future) range today was 485 points: 10'805 up to 11'290 - that's 4.4 percent. That's like SPX moving 84 handles If Cobra were really smart he'd focus on DAX. And he'd be rich too. Cruising the world with his yacht ...
And he'd delegate the supervision of this forum to his daughter

Or better, he could borrow billions dollar and default.
Late lunch lookin. Fehro's h/s on the daily would be something like this:

Cobra's right to mention they rarely work lately. Greece or no, Europe is broke, just like US. Earnings aren't keeping the bid in, the fear of missing out on the ponzi is. The money coming in now from the hedge funds doubling down on their missed quotas for the first half will peter out. I'm calling a top here. Vote Cobra. glta

Fehro- I went all in on the tlt today at the 116.92 level; fully positioned for the HnS move to happen now...hopefully fwiw! Do you see it happening? Thanks in advance...
The current uptrend angle was too steep and it is now fanning out a bit (green dashed arrow)
I think it needs more “fanning” out, but it’s not listening to me
Ahead should be a back-test of the breakout near 212 (red arrow). A successful back-test would create a more sustainable 45-ish degree uptrend angle.
Also note divergence: NO breakout yet on the inverted VIX (top panel)

Will post after the close or my am tomorrow on the possibilities....
If SPX closes here it will be the 4th largest pt gain on day before QUAD witch since 2007 (highest was Dec 14)
More later,

Denali, in after-hours, after DAX closed today, the shorts were squeezed from 11'100 up to 11'290 - that's 1.7%. Never seen something like that. Whatever, technically DAX looks like it's in a bottoming process. Technically

I'd watch the daily candle.. ideally would nice to see a hammer/longer wick to the downside.. . still a tad tricky.. ideally you want to enter as it is moving up through neckline... volume light on the last couple of hours...very light this hour not a bad thing.... could be testing weak hands/running out of sellers?.. needs to hold here. You would ideally like to see it move up into the close.
