when the vix opens and closes above its BB, is that usually a short term reversal signal?

QE3 will be annouced tomorrow, does it even matter anymore though? Probably not.
Tomorrow is the FOMC meeting at 1415. Jackson Hole Symposium 2011 is sometime around Aug 23-29. I did not see any set date on the site.
My bad. Yes the FOMC meeting is tomorrow, not JH. I think the tentative date for JH is Aug 25th.
I don't see anything schedulled for upcoming events. I was just guessing for Aug 23-29.

Cashing out on shorts, thinking the last 30 mins as usual is margin call time.

1140 area shows some support. if cannot hold for mid-term, the next stop will be 1100.
me the perma bear, do u hear me roar.
good luck
/es is approaching my line at 1140. i still think it will hold here. bears may give another try later.
well, bears are in charge now. retest and break 1140 in minutes. 1135.25 was a tested area a while ago, which may provide some support.
i still feel it may stop bleeding soon.
my estimation, since 1140-1135 area did not even in play. the next stop is 1100. let's see if it will work.
good luck
The goal is not uniformity. It is understanding and idea exchange.
