Shumushu, you've got to look at channels, MAs (linear and log), past support and resistances on the daily, weekly, monthly. And don't forget the Fibs. You've got to find your own technique. On SPX I'm now looking at 1150/55, 1170/75 and even the daily 377 MA which is now at 1209. The drop to SPX 1119 was crazy, the bounce might be similar...[/quote]

hey guys just waking up, i traded the after hours last night and caught a beautiful down move in oil below 80 to 76 and then caught the bull train back up this early am... i am swing long from 77 ... hope all of you were able to bank coin today. finally a relief rally of sorts.... we got a lot of work to do to fix these charts ...... so much damage.

correct me if i am wrong. in dow theory, dji and djt are trending more often, and usually together. dju is usually not. so if the market is in trending mood, either up or down, u will see dju lagging. i think it can be proved mathematically.

Why is it important for UTILs to follow the market up?

The Utilities are an important part of the mkt. Like the Transports if the mkt green and they lag the rest of the mkt then the mkt may go no where.
