Institutional buying and selling chart from stocktiming shows more distribution than accumulation. And distribution is rising while accumulation is falling so it's topping phase.

• When accumulation and distribution are down means we're in trending phase.

The friday close was close enough for government work. I'd effectively consider it a hit. We may get it next week. The pattern is a bb bullish cross of the 50 dma means price must hit the lower bb within one month. It took 3 weeks to pay this time.

Bombings in France only can boost markets up - it is not a 911 case, there will be less "reefugees" thanks to them in Europe.

Next attack mean that there will be less place for "refugees" and probably their 4000 euro monthly for nothing (well for preparing next bombings) would be taken away from them So there would be more cash to invest - only looser here would be War Companies.

Note too that Cobra and most guys who post here are what you label "refugees" - or descendants of "refugees". They left Europe, Asia or Africa in search of a better life in the US or Canada.

If you feel threatened by immigrants who perform better intellectually or work harder for lower salaries - try to improve your own performance.

Paris Friday 13th:

I'll leave aside my disgust for those who commit atrocities. Here I focus on SPX reaction to terrorist attacks.

On the short term US equity markets seem to be quite immune to these incidents. The 2004/2005 bombings in Madrid and London didn't have a real impact on SPX. Even after 9/11 the US market was not hurt medium term. SPX was back up to the prior level after 20 trading days and was strong for the next few months - thanks to Alan Greenspan's liquidity injection

Recent history suggests that the Paris attacks won't have a significant impact on the US market.

Finally we got some bear movement, I posted about in the recent weeks.

I expect a bear/bull war in the next two weeks and rally into the beginning of December.

Bull case:

- NYMO spike below -60 was very good entry point in recent years
- Buy in November sell in December

Bear case:
- possible weekly gap fill
- first close above ma200 behavior study
both of them forecast 2-3% additional DD from current level.
