Costco, the nation's second-largest retailer, announces that it's adopting a $16 minimum wage for its 180,000 workers next week.
That tops Amazon's and Target's $15 minimum and Walmart's $11 minimum.
Costco has been good with their employees and their pays were good as long as I remember, few family member works there. the problem with high minimum pay is the restaurant and sandwich shop. Got many friends who I hang out with regularly, those guys are in the hurt as is. most small business start up is still in 80% failure rate, who will open a new restaurant today? I will go to their grand opening.
Time to start charging more and paying more for restaurant food like the rest of the civilized world, heck we should end up doing away with tips too. It's ridiculous that the tip thing is pretty much everywhere now.

agreed, if you want someone to cook for you pay up.... I am for that, so the restaurant can provide better pay and no tip is needed. well, I am not going to open any business period. will give a full support though.

Person I follow on Twitter (Master Wu) saying it will be about three weeks before we head back for new highs because the market will need that long to shake out those buying today's dip.
