Who would have thought that monetizing our way to a bright Weimer future is "market contingent." With the EU dude crashing the market at 10:59 am and spooking the Primary Dealers, what does one expect?

My trading thesis now is simple, long solar, if have extra money, short CCJ. But I don't have extra money, so I am only long Chinese solar stocks: JASO,SOL,LDK,TSL. Plus WNR. If market rallies, then solar will go with them; if market tanks, more likely due to Japan's nuclear issue or middle east, which will push oil higher, which will benefit the solar sector. Only thing will crash solar stocks: Japan's nuclear issue is resolved, middle east is peaceful. I don't see that happens any time soon. My 2 cents anyway.

How much faith (fund allocation) do you have in solar stocks?

You realize government subsidies are holding these stocks up because solar cannot make it on its own. When the subsidies get cut with everything else, solar is dead.

don't see any new news on Japan. Probably an old headline for jittery trades that bought this a.m.

Even though I have faith in solar stocks(very high to tell you the truth, doing research the last three days), specially Chinese solar(low PE, cheap valuation, etc), trading involves risk for sure, so don't put your money in one basket, like what i am doing now(1/2 in solar, 1/2 in SINA). I may reduce some in the future.I still have about half in SINA, which will likely be called away(sold covered call at 85, so it's too early and likely gone this Friday).

100% cash now. Don't like the trading, it's the kind of movement where you start to make horrible decisions as price moves wildly. NYMO is too low anyway, so being short is not as favorable as it was.

Yes, I know they make money due to subsides, but if nuclear is slowing down, oil is up, their value is increased, can have lower subsides in the future, and improvement in cost in solar in the future, so I don't think they are dead, IMHO.

Well, a big mess like today, just don't move. You have plenty of chances to earn money, so let's watch. Here's how I read, green and pink are saying we're doomed but my secret weapon doesn't agree or at least confused.

BEARs are good as long as it stays below 1282.5 ; below dashes brown line

http://tradersu.homelinux.com/charts/monitor-es.php (updated TLs)

Looks like we have too many dip buyers around - it is back in range;

http://tradersu.homelinux.com/charts/es-tpo-30m.php (with market profile) - this looks bullish

Cheers,
