PCLN just completed a 50% retrace at ~482. It is a potential short sale candidate for a short term (days) trade.

L_T wrote:Wow good info Al_Dente. On Friday I picked up a single Nov 36 put on FCX because it looked like it was exhausting it's current move up on a daily time frame. Obviously it hasn't worked out for me today but I did it more to "play the game" with you guys. This stuff is much more interesting with skin in the game huh? Anyway I like your info as I am also looking for FCX to dip so I can pick some up for my long-term retirement account. That stock has bright days ahead once it's troubles and the economy turn around. In 5 years people will with they had bought FCX in the $30-something range IMHO.

LT: cool, thanks
yr pivot matches double top w 9/27 high
my weekly FCX chart tells me IMHO that fcx needs more selling “exhaustion” volume, but price says maybe not yet, breakout/breakdown here at resistance pivot double-top will tell us much
BTW: “Long Term”…. What’s a guy like u doin in a joint……..

You can click on that little wrench and adjust the settings from the dialog.

Click on 'studies' in the upper right hand corner of the chart and then click 'delete all studies' or look for the volume option and unclick it.

I haven't switched over yet with cash as the learning curve has been high and I can't find a good guide for the platform. The webinars are good but I need a reference guide.

Gap up plus the flat daily chart look strikingly similar to the Sept 27 chart, at virtually the same level. Also looking back at the past month or so there have been a lot of gaps up/down at the peaks/troughs, almost signaling the end of the rallies/drops.

breakout as I expected. the text book target is to the galaxy far far away, which I don't believe, so no bother to draw here.

If we don't break through 1190 on spx and stay there then I might close my FAS position. If it stays above then I think 1220ish is possible tomorrow. However, I'm with Bulltart, although I shorty only using bear ETFs.

The only bad thing to Bulls today is: No pullback as a chance to add more long! :lol:

SPY seems to have gone high enough for now…
But a third round of shorts covering could take it in the 120 zone, which should be a critical resistance.
If we go above 120... 121.22 should be the top for this well engineered “rally”.

=================
This is in "swing-range" and not for day trading.
