Here is one of my incredibly busy charts. Please excuse. The important things to note are that the prior high at 1277 was turned at the 78.6% retrace of the prior swing low, and now we are testing the 78.6% retrace (1267) of the next prior swing, at the same time that we back testing a trend line from the 10/4 low. Support on the 5 week decelerated TL (or neckline of a possible complex H&S pattern?) Taking a gamble for the next 60 min. swing low with a short at 1267, although the high of this swing up may not be in yet. Stop above 1277.

LOL! If you live in the mountains (like me) and you go to the only store in the village, and say that you want to buy a “bear trap”…what do you think you get?
Actually , this scenario is impossible now, since bear traps have been outlawed in the Rocky Mountains, but not on Wall Street!

not to sound like a sour bear, but i can't remember a time this year when a doming top pattern has worked on the SPY....i expect a break up before or at the end of the day.

not sure if anyone follows GNK, but it looks like it's about to make an ascending triangle breakout confirmation today. positive macd cross, confirmed in stochastics. RSI slightly overbought for the name, but still ok around 65.

if the breakout is confirmed, the measured move target would be 15.36 over the next few months.

IYT is a bit bearish, so might get a better entry when the market dumps early next week. stop at around the 200MA of 8.5.

this is NOT a trade rec, just an interesting name for those looking for something on this miserable day for us bears.

not to sound like a sour bear, but i can't remember a time this year when a doming top pattern has worked on the SPY....i expect a break up before or at the end of the day.

Yes that happens but the mkt at 1270 it might be worth a few dn points in the making.It is all a feel.
