It was probably a bad time to sell. I've been doing a bad job with my sell points lately.

Hello everyone
I joined yesterday. I have traded several years with a IRA and a small trading account. On TA I like to use moving Ave. on 15, 30, and 60 min. charts. Also I use channels for tops and bottoms of moves. If I am patient and hold the market will pay, but I sold my longs yesterday. The SPX and RUT hit the top channel from 11-8 and 11-15 today. Woops

you sound emotional. you are expecting ....

so far i have learned following since i joined this board and started following master cobra... which was not very long ago:
1. i learned to control emotional based trading
2. stopped front-running
3. follow the trend and get out when you have made small gains ... don't be greedy.
4. what goes up must come down and when it comes down it does bounce up again

I did not draw this chart for you guys, but for me. That's why it's a real mess. Shows my tests of the 1240 area, shows that 1240 sure is a pivot. Means that it's unlikely SPX keeps up its vertical trajectory here. Pause, sideways move, dip, whatever. Bye guys, I need some food.
