small caps weak was expected after new year. it's seasonality.

I saw your comments regarding that on one of the nightly reports...how long does the seasonality last?

don't know. generally it's the best season for small cap, so this weakness should last only a day or two.

dollar has failed, and is under some strong resistances now...i don't think i can short the market right now. my initial short failed as i forgot to take my profits and run. i'm back long, and watching for a break above 128 to potentially add to it. today's low will act as my overall stop-loss, but i think the dollar regaining today's high will be confirmation to go short again.

Haha, both DOW & S&P are in bullish stages. And, DOW has a golden crossing too. IMO, it is a risky short here.

I agree with SB73 - 1280 is crucial: my best guess is that SPX will break 1280 and rush upwards for a few days, but the overall pattern does not look strong. I'm just waiting in order to short a short-covering rally. Hope I don't wait too long
