somebody was joking about big mac. i quickly check the chart, wow, mcd passed 100 couple days ago. almost 50% gain in past year? this is a giant with 100b market cap. in bad economy those discounted consumer goods will outperform. to prove myself, i checked wmt, hd, rost. my combo 3 all have decent return since august. living on food stamp, people go to mcd for lunch, repair house by themselves, shopping grocery at wmt and buy cheap cloths at ross store. this sounds like a good recover plan. i will put the food stamp portfolio on my radar screen.
