02/24/2012 Intraday Watering

Post by Cobra »

Gap up above yesterday's high but the gap is small, so I guess the gap will be filled.

Global ES is just like I said last night, on the way to test the previous high. A pullback below the short blue line, then bears still have hopes, otherwise we'll probably see a new high today.

We had a very quiet night last night that I didn't see any comments so guess pretty much everyone gives up both bulls and bears, interesting...

First, you can upload images directly, just use "upload attachment".

NYMO negative divergence takes time to work, sometimes very long, months.

NYMO positive divergence usually works immediately.

What you're referring is NYMO negative divergence, so no one knows how long it'd work.

Looks like the yen "bears" watching. YCS is the 2x short. Japan is simply in trouble.

good morning cobra

your last couple nights reports are in my opinion are each worth the 120 i paid you for the year! between your daily dose of wisdom and als three new books my home grown strategy of intraday trading spy breakouts via options has put me in the mid 4 figures for my year to date return using my standard 10k position. i dont post much but i read everyday and if work doesnt allow me to follow post by post i always make sure to replay the market using ninja trader as i read the live posts, this also lets me score other posters effectiveness from a call standpoint. to sum up for anyone reading this post paying the 10 mthly or 120 yearly is in my opinion the best value anywhere on the internet.

Thanks Cobra I appreciate your hard work!

P.S i also owe huge props to bullbear Al Cougar and 99 for unknowingly assisting in my tradeing education.

What do you think of Al Brooks' new three books compared to the one older one? I've been looking for someone who has read the old and new to see if all three of the new are worth picking up.
Can you share any of the details of the types of breakouts you take? Just curious. :P

SPY's going to stay fairly flat until housing data. Probably heads north after 10:00am EST

The problem today is to know at what point is the dip. Otherwise buy the dip.

morning LT

ok so i didnt read al's first book to be honest i didnt even know who al was until cobra enlightend me so unfortunatley i cannot comment regarding similarities or differences and because of the density of the info in the three books i built a group of hand picked brains that meets via the internet on monday nights for a book club of sorts to discuss previously assigned chapter and with assistance of replay via ninja trader we test als rules entry exsits and concepts currently we are approx half way through book one.

as for you second question my simple trading style would be most akin to bullbears strategy where by moving averages and trendlines inconjunction with a simple basket of indicators is what dictates the whole of my entry and exit profile only thing is i dont trade es i prefer the uber leverage of options. like for exsample yesterday i went long on the reversal bar at 9:45 into the resistance zone at 136.4 which turned out to be a nice little profit in the bank before i went to work at noon. which by the way is exactly what cobra predicted the night before.
