Phantom bar low at 3174.

Hope this is not an omen of what is about to happen!

I don't know about that but they say this is bad for big Ben. Lets see.
I believe it could lead tightening so maybe a .25% raise of interest rate sooner than later, but maybe the market is already pricing that in?

Guys, I'm off, got to buy some wood to build a fence around some young birches. Deer and sheep keep nibbling off the fresh shoots. Now you know what I'll be doing these next days. Happy Easter to all!

BullBear52,

How do you copy or capture a TOS chart? Have wanted to post, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Thanks.

Umpel, BB52, Cobra or any professional traders,

I was wondering what kind of platform could I purchase with real timing? My current scottrade is very slow and it is so obvious that this is way delayed data.
Do you have any suggestion/s?
I know stockcharts.com has some type of real time but the graph needs to click itself every 5 seconds. I don't like intruptions in data.It drives me nuts looking at screen that constantlly changing.

Thanks in advance.

screen snap shot or print screen to capture your image:

window vista use snipping tool
window XP use Ctrl+Print Screen

save your snap shot in JPEG you should be able to post here.

Depends on what you want to spend Tabby.

The best chart site is Live Charts by Esignal (fantastic)...... and it's pricey to match.

Then again, it's only charts. Better to buy a real software package and data plan = and there's plenty of those.

Mr. T,

This is the reason that I am asking people to get your opinion. Every single site I go, " this is the best software you could have."

Some people like Tos, Ninj Trader, TC 2000, Tradestation, Think or swim, etc.
I have an account with TD Am. and I don't like their set up very complicated.

I am asking pro in here what it works for them before purchasing a sofetware.

Hi Cobra,

Looking at the faily chart of AAPL, I'm seeing 2 black bars (yday and today) signalling exhaustion? Do you think the AAPL gap will get filled soon or a good point to add longs right now . im thinking we should wait for a retrace given AAPL's chart pattern after ER

If I have to buy E-signal is nice, but the chart that came with ScottradeELITE is as good as ThinkorSwim from TD Ameritrade. I like Thinkorswim (chart/prophet chart/option tools are all in one)

Again any real time stream is the same, setting them up maybe a little tricky for some.

Or do you think the High at 364 will get tested before any gap fill ?

I don't know which one's good.

I use stockcharts to comment so that you guys can see.
I use stockfinder to do back test which is another product from TC 2000.
I use IB as data feeder (not good, but it's free) and Ninjia Trader to display futures.

the one I most use is of course stockcharts, simply because I'm used to its interface.

I'm not happy with stockfinder's back test feature but its other features are good especially it allows you to create your own indicator and index. I'm a software developer (always be), so a powerful coding platform like stockfinder fits my need a lot. Cobra Impulse (which may soon be a joke, I guess?) involves lots of coding, well, not lots of coding, but I'm pretty sure an inexperienced software developer cannot write the code alike as the system is not indicator based.

the general AAPL post ER pattern is shooting high then fall to the ground.
