2000 bear market...anyone remember tech crashing all around?? I had clients worth 50 million in one minute, the next minute they were worth, $50....told them to diversify, but they kept saying "but it's going to go higher"...famous last words...
Is a crash and a Bear the same thing? , Maybe he means a real Bear like the one that lasted from 1966 to 1982 were stocks went nowhere.
Even using that definition we've all been in one right? 1998-now?

Maybe he's speaking of the Great Depression because he's 100 years old. Probably also blabbers about walking 10 miles uphill in the snow to school  (JUST KIDDING)

1987 for me
I would not want to do another 1987. When we had the flash crash (May 6, 2010), I was thinking here we go again.
Mr. Bnut
how about 1929 ouch that one wiped me out     :geek: :geek:

Since the Nikkei & Hang Seng dumped, they might rally tonight.
Since India & Europe rallied, they'll likely dump. Maybe I should've sold my EWP (Spain).

Does it work into your plans?
TRIN says reversal, TLT says reversal, TBT says reversal. NYMO says either way.

So, day N is always negatively correlated to day N+1 ?

That's the model you're using?

Here’s another….a $VIX wedge alert (top panel), not quite descending triangle, but $VIX is at bolinger centerline resistance… so we’ll see…

A reference to Mr. T's need for sharp objects after reading Zero Hedge. Cutters are people who cut themselves for pleasure( go figure).

Dr Al. I found your place of birth; I did not know you were swiss. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXmaS1ZzpA8    More than money can grow from trees.

I saw other graphs today , with the bollingers, however those earlier Bollinger exceedences were much stronger than todays? But a bounce is more than possible.
