I think AAPL announces how many phones they sold over the weekend sometime next week. On the other hand the $700 mark is going to be difficult to break, no?

I have an order in for next week 680/685 call spread for $3. We'll see where it goes.

Considering buying back December 570 naked put and re-writing during/after dip.

The OI on the Sept 700s is pretty monstrous.

I'm thinking the same about 700$ and from what I see there already is plenty of news about all the iPhone 5 they have sold.

My satisfaction always came from beating the market, solving the puzzle. The money was the reward, but it was not the main reason I loved the market (Jess Livermore)

Anyhoo... closed out the AAPL put position sold 8.40$ bought back 5.60$ so I'm happy.

If it drops, I may re-write the same strike if not I'll write a higher strike.

Thank you.
He is buying MBS not treasuries. He wants to clean up the banks.

Do u have a decent stockcharts symbol for watching a benchmark MBS portfolio?
Thanks
I have never played with MBS (Haven't bought any shares in 2 years now). Forbes recommends this - http://finapps.forbes.com/finapps/jsp/f ... sp?tkr=MBB
However, I do not know the impact of Fed purchasing the MBS. Hopefully, it is positive for securities such as above where they will pawn off paper doing badly to the sugar daddy for a piece of the pristine clean USD pie at 1:1 :o

I would just buy XLF/FAS in long term investments. The real winners from this trillion dollar largess are Citibank and BAC. I love BAC as of yesterday. Basically, I love every bank that is caught in the sludge of MBS. The deeper they are in it, the more I love them.

If someone comes across an article or information on which banks are neck deep in non-performing (important) MBS paper, I beseech you to share that information. This is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities and I promise you, there is a lot to go around so please share.

PS: I don't necessarily love MBB type funds yet. This may change down the road when we understand how the market is responding.

There are no bulls or bears in the market. Only wolves and sheep.

Would you mind sharing your specifics on this chart Dr. Al?
it’s from benandlloyd (but tweaked)
top panel is STO 20,1 with an ROC 5 shadow behind it
renko is 0.12 (twelve cent boxes, bricks)
bottom panel is exactly as described at the right side of the chart
[caveat: I change/tweak these sometimes]
THANKS AL! One last question, what moving averages do you use? Last question I promise!

Ok fine I’m using fannie FNMA for mbs until someone can link me to a decent Bloomberg mbs quote
hmmmm why is fannie moving in the same direction as short bonds tbt and bond yields tnx??
I thought FNMA was price not yield???
I don’t suppose anyone on this shite board cares?
[jackal just saw yours will read it in a min thanks]
