Thank you.
He is buying MBS not treasuries. He wants to clean up the banks.

Do u have a decent stockcharts symbol for watching a benchmark MBS portfolio?
Thanks
I have never played with MBS (Haven't bought any shares in 2 years now). Forbes recommends this -
http://finapps.forbes.com/finapps/jsp/f ... sp?tkr=MBB
However, I do not know the impact of Fed purchasing the MBS. Hopefully, it is positive for securities such as above where they will pawn off paper doing badly to the sugar daddy for a piece of the pristine clean USD pie at 1:1
I would just buy XLF/FAS in long term investments. The real winners from this trillion dollar largess are Citibank and BAC. I love BAC as of yesterday. Basically, I love every bank that is caught in the sludge of MBS. The deeper they are in it, the more I love them.
If someone comes across an article or information on which banks are neck deep in non-performing (important) MBS paper, I beseech you to share that information. This is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities and I promise you, there is a lot to go around so please share.
PS: I don't necessarily love MBB type funds yet. This may change down the road when we understand how the market is responding.
