They hit some numbers that one might have though crazy.

If they are still functional, there are some lower ones, 140.90$, 139$.....

My satisfaction always came from beating the market, solving the puzzle. The money was the reward, but it was not the main reason I loved the market (Jess Livermore)

My spreadsheet predicts a gap down BUT since Asia & India sold off on a gap up, we just responded to what they did. If they rally tonight (and we gap up), we might rally tomorrow.

It is one of the banksters asking a question - shall we take it there? If there is no confirmation from others, I am not sure it is valid. Look at the p-bars BB52x shared with this morning. One guy puts up the number and there are like 5 other banksters who confirm. You know that is money in the bank. It could also be that a p-bar along the trend goes not need confirmation and that BB52x's p-bars were contratrend so they required a pow-wow. We will find out!

Who am I to disqualify? However, regular hour p-bars have been vetted by this board. They work. Look at BB52x's p-bars from this morning. The AH ones have not yet. Also, we use IB but both Mr. Miyagi and BB52x run Ameritrade. It may be a good research project.

AH volume is very low (comparatively) and prices swing by large numbers. Often times a pbar outside normal trading hours is an actual price strike.
Oddly, those AH prices often mimic some trading day bars.

Go figure :?:

We'll see the low number by week-end

daytradingES, a few weeks ago, when I was first introduced to the p-bars, I backtested the AH p-bars from Interactive Brokers on TWS. They work once in a while but are very unreliable. Their failure rate was atrocious. Just an FYI.

Having said that, I have seen p-bars in RH on TWS charts but they are corrected very quickly. If you use TWS and you happen to see a p-bar in RH, can you cross check with BB52x or Mr. Miyagi? It would be great to know whether this is a 'universal' phenomenon or not. Thanks. BTW, this goes for other boardies who use TWS during RH. I don't/can't.

Sure. no worries.

I was just having fun, BTW. :)
I'm new to the board and didn't realize you've backtested them.
I hope I didn't offend.

I use Ninja for my charts and IB for the datafeed - so as long as I don't refresh and Ninja doesn't drop the data packet they stay on the Ninja chart. IB data seems off by a tick or two (I think due to they internalizng trades -argh).

I would imagine that the datafeed to the brokerages is mostly the same?

(As I don't trade ETF I don't see them on IB - it was only coming to this board I saw them ...)
