Cobra,

I dont post very often here. This was my first trade following your and my own assessment.
Went long spy at 43.85 and exit at 144.15. I would like to know what kind of stop do we need to put on this trades.
My fear is this one worked but it might not always work. Also do you scale out or get out the whole thing.

I would like to get others input also.

I do only 1 day trade per day, so I don't follow every my calls. I choose the best one.

As for trade this double bottom, I'd set my buy stop at $143.85, stop loss at $143.44. Half out on hitting target, leave the reset with breakeven stop loss in case this trend has lots of up room to go. In majority cases the breakeven stop loss would be hit but in some rare occasion, it'd catch big fish, so in the long run, the breakeven stop does worth.

Yes, unfortunately in HINDSIGHT that lumber chart vs. XHB worked out nicely, unfortunately I didn't participate. Hope others made something from it

Bill, what is your level of pain? Startin out I allowed a 10% loss. If up 3%, I took profits. Until you get a better idea of your ability to get in near the bottom of your timeframe for the trade and out near the top, don't add the extra complication of scaling em. Just my two cents. GLTU.

yep, that and combination of <1 Trin before it's good buy. yesterday it was the DNV/UPV that was sinking down there with >1 that makes it hard to sell, so today it will be easy sell until Trin move back below 1.
