10/27/2012 Weekend Update

Post by Cobra »

Begin with institutional accumulation and distribution chart from stocktiming. No doubt it's in distribution. The most importantly, there's no divergence yet, i.e. price lower low while distribution lower high, so guess the selling isn't over yet.

Good Morning

There was a report on German TV about the article I linked below. It was really negative claiming
excessive corruption is on the rise. As some of you may have better knowledge of the situation in China,
Is this exagerated by the medias, or is this a real danger for the Communist Party? Thanks for your thougts.

More about corrupt Chinese officials, but I believe the Communists retain firm control of the populace:

Weekend poll at Bespoke for bulls/bears: it's a contrarian indicator (many bullish votes and the market tanks and vice versa) and by Saturday 10:48 a.m traders with a bullish outlook don't like what they see

gold review week 4

Post by daytradingES »

Hi everyone!

Here's the gold review for week 4.

My brother's cancer has move into his lymph nodes and his arms have swollen like Michellen tire man.
Things are an emotional roller coaster. Yesterday tonnes of internet prbs - perhaps a message I needed sleep!

Now into week 4 review for gold and in 21 days it is down 96 points (to thursday's low)
the rise was 267 points in 141 days.
average rise was $1.90 per day and fall $4.60 per day.

In this week's post I mention the idea of lightening a short position at a week low and re-establishing it at the week's high for those more inclined to trade. If you are a pyramider then you would add to a short position at a week's high.

Also I have added the idea of the 45 degree line as a possible exit for the short swing trade. (The lower Keltner is currently at the 1738 level and roughly the 45 degree line).

Gann exited went he felt the trend had changed (he had many more rules towards the end of the move) and I believe he would keep pulling is stop down to just above the prior week's high. That's a long way up here (about 1769 level) however he had rules for exiting levels such as time and fractions of the prior move.

Yep  sometimes it´s like up or down or sideways

Tricky thing is that we are in complex B wave from 2009 so all waves are ABCs and B wave is always the hardest to trade  so is just matter of time when the C wave down starts (note that : C wave doesn´t need to make lower low from 2009 cycle maybe around 1000 is enough  ) But what I wanted to say is :D that ur 4th wave is most likely not 4th wave :D - double zig-zag in B wave...below 61.8 it´s failed C wave what is not very bull friendly thingie

This is my prefered count so far, looks very corrective within channel...and below 50 or 61.8 this structure is uber bearish  (nested 1-2s)

Hi daytradingES, I am so sorry to hear this sad news for you and your family. I want to wish both of you the strength you'll need to go through this and the very best to you and your family at this sad time.
