Small gap up, within yesterday's range, so the gap might be filled.

Might be a little overshot on the Global ES, so we may see a pullback of some kind here, then we'll see.

Net Long. Carrying long and short.
I hedged a little bit last night for no technical reason.

My composite trend signal is up.
My summation index signal is down but considered inactive.

I'll probably regret shorting here, but I don't want to be a boiling frog.
Last I checked the sequester thing kicks in in about 2 weeks.
I haven't yet heard anything to suggest that it will clear up smoothly.
If it goes into effect 2013 forecast GDP drops on the order of 1/2%.
Judging by the low VIX and steadily rising stocks, there is no scare or even a worst case scenario being priced in.
Perhaps the market is correctly devining that this is a non-issue, but there may also be some boiling frog action going on.
The frogs aren't hopping out of the pot because the day to day change doesn't appear threatening. (I think the Thanksgiving turkey analogy works here too.)
The frogs may be right. Liquidity keeps flowing in and any drop will be bought.
So, with no technical case, I am going to be a little contrarian and bet that sometime in the next two weeks some anxiety will get priced into the market.
I reserve the right to change my mind at any time...

I usually do more swing trades but with this mkt now I do day trades and mostly in the indexes..Been using calls in the money with delta in the 70's.Profits been 200/300 a day for 3hr trade.Some day trades turned into swing trades.I found lets be satisfied with these smaller quick trades.These take more time but this is a tough mkt for me to trade so had to change style for a bit..Anyone else out there doing likewise and making a buck.Post what you are doing,it may help others..Oh yes not all trades turned a profit if the trade starts to turn get out.
