A new VIXies M05 trading setup is almost ready and will be released in the subscriber's area within a week. Here is equity curve of trading by this setup. Data on the left of purple vertical line is based on back testing while the data on the right is from live testing. The red trend line is the best fit and is extrapolated into the future. Stay tuned for the details of this trading setup. :geek:  :geek:

I can't wait Harapa. Thank you very much. :D :D

I don't think you should comment on XIAN who is not here. It is inappropriate.

Market Neutral.

My composite trend indicator remains up. Today should solidify that.
My summation index signal is down. At the moment, trading is above stop levels for this protocol.

I closed my long position in the pre-market this morning.
I liked the price. This trade hit its stop last Friday, and I committed some protocol violations to stay exposed through the event cycle.
Even though my trend signal is up, I want to take profits here, let the first days of the year trade settle out and let my emotions attached to this trade go away.
I'll revisit Friday or next week.

I should also have some short exposure now per my summation set-up, but I closed it with an audible in last week's downdraft.
My intent was to reposition it in the anticipated rally, but now trading is by the stop line. So, I'll wait and see.

Bottom line is my trading plan is in disarray. The last few days have been really productive but also stressful and un-fun.
My vacation starts now as I don't plan to trade today or tomorrow. I will do some chart work and may post some things.

Another bottom line is that the jackals and their algos know where my stops and pain points are.
They have been brutal these last days in working the trade to extremes(usually after-hours or in the thin points of the holiday trade) to force out bulls and bears alike.
Bear are getting it now...
I made money in the last week violating protocol, but i don't want to make a habit of that.
Coming to terms with this in managing trade discipline is a key task for the year.

One more thing,

the jackals accumulated a bunch of inventory during the "cliff" decline.
Judging by the mark-up, I believe they are distributing that inventory now.
So, the reason I want to chill for a day or two is to let it clear a bit before trying to read the technicals.

Gold has been making me happy recently. $1694 .... now it just needs to retake $1700 and hold above there.

I know some people like to keep up when index changes are made. ABT has split into ABT and ABBV. Not sure what affect this has on the S&P 500.
