03/29/2013 Weekend Update

Post by Cobra »

Begin with Algo from stocktiming.

The algo is weaker than I though. NYA didn't make new high today but even if it makes a new high the next week, the Negative Divergence is almost a sure thing, so expect a larger pullback as early as the next week.

Institutional accumulation and distribution from stocktiming shows distribution is trending up.

Thank you, Cobra.
What about SPY breaking out of congestion area? Is the chance pretty good for more up?

Wait to see the next Monday first. Friday's breakout is not enough.

Three charts showing 29 of the dow 30 stocks
% performance, one month
Folks are buying the defensive stocks (PFE, PG, JNJ)
And maybe they are buying other stuff on credit (AXP)
And they hate BAC and JPM
I don’t know why they’re still buying HPQ, but I’m not complaining
And etc

TVIX
There was a 212% increase in shorts this past reporting period (7.8 million additional shares were shorted)
Now total TVIX shorts are 11.5 million shares
It is listed as the fifth (#5) largest percentage increase in short sales

Biggest short positions are listed at the top under “BIGGEST SHORT POSITIONS”
TVIX is not the “biggest” short

Not “as of today”
There is always a lag, but it’s the best short info we have

Shorting TVIX is about the best investment I've seen, bar none. This is unless you are forced to cover during a major correction. Otherwise, it will always fall making new lows.

Were there "Occupy Wall Street" protests in 1929? Seems like we're living in the exact OPPOSITE era of 1929 to me. I've never seen so much hatred of Wall Street and stocks in the history of the United States.

( net shorts as measured in oz. of silver are still at 73% of the total comex silver inventory. This represents a considerable drop from a high of 211% reached on 11-27-2012, but is still trending lower. This is why I concluded silver prices would probably continue lower this week. We need to see the commercials ADD shorts; as this would signal that they feel they can no longer pull the rug out of prices to manipulate them lower) From JakeBlues @ tfmetalsreport.com. Comex silver stocks(physical) are at highest level since 08/15/1997: from 28 March Daily Metals Commentary, Hightower Report. So, we will see, trading the recent range has been good though. GLTA.
