If I were a rabid contrarian, like I used to be, I take out a short at 2:00 and hold for an hour ; but the momentum is up (until it's not) Healthy ND on FXE:FXY cross

Does anyone trade using Renko for short term swings? Not my method, but have been messing with some settings on a 15 min SPX chart with a 1 point interval, and as long as you trade in the direction of a higher order MA (60 min 20ma for example), the results look pretty good using a PSAR stop - comments?
I’ve been dicking around with el renko forever
I’ve pretty much settled on 30 min
It does the job of confirming not predicting a trend
The renko setting distorts anything u put with it; sometimes that distortion is helpful

I'm looking at 1832.4, that was last support on 1/21, just before the dive, also corresponds to possible downtrend channel on daily - although, I expect higher prices now with the relentless up ticks

Thanks for posting Mr Al, I'll check that out, although my swing system in pretty nailed down,
I was just messing with this as a day trade idea, would have worked well the last few days, but keeping eye on the minor daily trend would be key

Since overlays are all the rage.. here's one for you on the Nasdaq... pattern matching kinda... current time frame compressed to meet previous time frame for pattern..
for entertainment purposes only!.. Weekly 2009-2014 / 1997-2000 near the 5000 highs..
