Hmm are you able to at least type the text? I use screenshots rather than their little camera icon for screen captures of the chart. Maybe that's the difference?

AL, this should happen when you click the abc box, in the exact order:

First a yellow text abc should appear next to pointer

Then, when you click on charts where your text want to appear, a ""Note" text should appear:

To modify the text, click on "Note" text and this window should appear:
