It's different this time are the most dangerous words in investing, but I really think it is this time when it comes to the Federal Reserve. On those surveys you notice they never talk about the prior track record. With Goldman already complaining about the dollar and an election coming, why would the Fed destroy our major businesses by increasing the the dollar when everyone else is devaluing? I don't think they would survive the political fall-out.

Do you know, were rates rising into '08, '00? Going into '00, in '99, it seems they were. Can't remember if they were rising in '07 going into '08.
