Are there people out there crazy enough to trade TVIX, VXX, or UVXY after seeing what has happened the last couple of weeks? Even though I didn't get blistered on the last go round, the instruments are not trustworthy. Sticking with NUGT / DUST / SDS / SSO / SLV for the time being

watching it like a hawk. no buy entry for me just yet.

This is a big Ben Day..He knew what to say this morn to pop up the futures..QE coming in April..I agree with others here after the pop up this morn.then nothing ,just slow.I'm still slightly on the bull side.My long swing trades are doing just fine.

If you haven't read "The Forgotten Man", FDR was enamored with fascism, and he didn't have a big problem with what was known of communism at the time, and we were unquestionably a fascist nation during WW II. "Liberal Fascism" was a good read, and it shows how the word is very difficult to pin down. But the resounding agreement is the government having too much control of business and especially with the threat of law suits and more regulation for non-compliance.

We are f'd no matter what. Put the government in the equation to regulate - it does not work for the population at large. Leave the corporations alone - it does not work for teh population at large. Where is the balance? How is it achieved? In my book until ethics, mutual respect, rational tolerance, and caring about the effects we have on each other are the major equation factors, the situation will continue to worsen. Want a True Free Market? Move to Somalia (HFT's / TVIX/ pirates). Want to live in a civilized society? Rules (regulations) and agreed to laws (consequences)are necessary. One of our major problem is there are no / insufficent societal/individual consequences being applied to reign in bad / destructive behavior. The herd will not choose to self regulate until it is normally to late and typically fatal. (Rant finished)

I believe the odds are heavily weighted to being D-E-A-D after a gap like this if we do not move up sharply within the first 30-45 minutes. It's the modus operandi of this mkt. Any potentially serious bear pattern is dealt with by a run-up in the early morning, SPX follows, and no one wants to trade. This seems perfectly normal to me.
