Cobra is running this board along with his subscription service as a business. This is NOT just fun and games for him. It's not just one little happy family. He wants to bring new ppl in. He wants to teach ppl. He wants to learn from others as well. I'm confident in saying that newbies that get interested in this "free" service will lead to subscribers that are more than willing to pay him for his other services. I personally want to learn from all of you. Each one of you seem to have a very good handle on different trading tools and advice. But Cobra IS the man! You should all constantly be aware of his business goals and help him reach those goals. In other words, please don't post things that could harm his business. Sorry if I'm offending anyone - that is not my objective. Hope this post is within Cobra's guidlines.
Thanks, you understand my purpose well.
I don't know trading, which is why I'm here. I do understand web sites as a business. You are using php & java (re: source code). I've used that also, but prefer a more powerful database driven site. Your's works very well! Hope you have all the success you dream of. You are appreciated!
Thanks.

My satisfaction always came from beating the market, solving the puzzle. The money was the reward, but it was not the main reason I loved the market (Jess Livermore)
For those concerned, I may have a low post count, but I've been reading Cobra for some time, so consider me a rare contributor, but an apt voyeur of the conversations in this forum.
Anyway, here is my Percent of the SP100 components currently trending indicator. Readings above 65 (granted this value refreshes intraday every 5 seconds) shows a resumption of "strong" trend.
Clusters of readings < 50 strongly suggest consolidation. Readings on the 22nd and 26th shows examples of this.
Anyway, since we were consolidating the down move before with sub 65 readings, this new burst of selling can start the new trend lower.

just back from biz lunch and catching up on what i missed, wont be trading anymore today due to the fact i made out like a theif by shorting the obama bounce at 10:20. made .80 cents with spy puts, every .20 is usually 10% for me so im making sure i end the day with those gains even though as it type looks like another great shorting opp. anyway now that i have tooted my own horn like a weeny the real point of this post is to agree completley 100% with louie's point regarding respecting king cobra's business!!!
