Cobra-can we all pitch in to pay for it?

Cobra - you should also look at XenForo.

Made by the people who started Vbulletin after they sold it off.

Vbulletin won't solve spam problems.

thanks, I'll research.

I know VB won't solve spam problems, but an additional layer would be much helpful because in order to join into a specific user group you have to fill out a reason which from my experiences running the Chinese forum, would help a lot to identify spammers.

Uempel - Thanks for the interesting graphs. I'm trying to discern more information from them, than is readily apparent from the fib. lines. Do you have any historical data to suggest implications of break down, probabilities, etc.? Many thanks. A

AAPL 130 min: nothing dramatic. Money Flow is still interesting...
On Friday, I sold (to open ) 325 puts and 345 calls - both for the weekly OpEx in 3 days...
Yesterday, I rolled the calls into the 340 strike - a move about which I am slightly nervous.

today lots of news on aapl. from ipad2 production cut to steve jobs' to speak. i feel aapl may go up a little bit.
The goal is not uniformity. It is understanding and idea exchange.

Anaconda, wow, you want to know everything...

These are models, they work on all time frames, but not always.

Every model in finance can work once, twice, for a week or even for a year. And then suddenly it doesn't work anymore. And later on, a few months later, it works perfectly again...

If you do finance at the MIT (I was never at the MIT) one of the first things they teach you is that these kind of models don't work. This does not mean that they never work, they work sometimes.

Now you know why Cobra's search for a mechanical model is kind of difficult... And why my Gann and other ideas are no safe analysis for anyone to follow. TA is no science, it's a kind of art...

If you want to know more go to chart school at stockcharts, or read Pring and Murphy and all the other books.

I appreciate your response. And, clearly I did not ask my question/s well. I merely wished to know if there was something special about the ellipse parameters and if you had gained any historical perspective from using it. For the record, I'm a fan of TA and have been for a number of years. (I use in conjunction with sentiment indicators and, if trading a specific stock derivative, fundamentals, as well.) - A.

If this level holds and market heads up after 12:43 EDT, then key lows are in and next move is up to about 2:50 pm.

If we go a bit lower then globex low support not far away at about 1312. Better for bullish case today if nothing lower than 1313.50.
