AAPL is holding up NQ so no chance of big red today on the SPY/ES.

The acquisition proposal of ILMN by Roche is a serious shot in the arm of other “prey-biotechs”.
The Basel pharmaceuticals are full of Frankli and ready to spend unwisely…

Been interested in your gap data for a while now. However, it seems that maybe whatever data was used to construct your spreadsheet may have reversed? Looks like (just using your public posts) that the only 1 out of last 8 was correct. Throwing darts would have yielded better results, so it seems that there has been a fundamental shift. I used to have a play in 02-03 where I could scalp a play with the gap at open on OEX every time there was an /ES disparity of more than 8 pts in either direction...that hasn't worked in a long time either. Thoughts?
The reliability has been lousy. The problem with my spreadsheet is that if, say the Hang Seng, gaps up, that they will continue to rise, not sell off. Markets lately have been selling the gap ups, and buying the gap downs.

The spreadsheet is easy to construct:
today's GXC target price = yesterday's GXC closing price * Hang Seng's recent closing value / Hang Seng's recent opening value
today's INP target price = yesterday's INP closing price * Bombay Stock Exchange's recent closing value / BSE's recent opening value
if GXC & INP close above their target price, SPY has a 46.1% or 50.2% probability of a gap up. (The 46.1% is the 6 month moving average, the 50.2% probability is cumulative data since 3/4/10.)

If you want a copy of my spreadsheet, PM me.

have been bulled for too long.
market is so boring. today may not be the day. who knows.
anyway, i see divergence everywhere. on a short term base, the upside momentum is gone. i am expecting a retest of the low 1300s one more time

The goal is not uniformity. It is understanding and idea exchange.

Look at utilities. It has closed every day under 9 day EMA for 16 consecutive days by my count. Risk on trade or something else?
