Yeah, Cobra. I noticed this when we had the last decline. Your competition suffered considerably while you stayed pretty solid.Cobra wrote:by the way, now I know who are really bears. Those who're exited now are real bears.
I'm happy because a down market could draw more readers to this forum, so I always like the market that fluctuate a lot. I hate dull market or simply up and up and up market, nobody interested in our forum anymore.

first, the vix spx divergence cobra tracked, secondly the flatness of the vix term structure as observed by the vix:vxv ratio and mentioned on ZH yesterday, and thirdly my vxo:rvx ratio never gave the 10 to 40 ema crossover confirmation and turned back up:
what really worries me here is the levels. both the vix:vxv and the vxo:rvx are at levels that were associated with bottoms during the rally from the 2009 lows, so the question is if the downside is limited or are we moving into a new regime, one with elevated levels, which can be associated with a bear market?
if anyone can post a long term vix:vxv chart it would be appreciated as i don't have a stockcharts account.
i have an account there, but they don't have ratios which is a pitty.TraderJoe wrote:Hi,
