Are you thinking that not only do they not care what we think of their manipulation, but that at times they will tease us so that we might operate in those and sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't, therefore making us completely neurotic?

IOW, do you think this is a purposeful attempt to mess with people's heads?

Some data services show them - some don't.
I'm wondering if the data is scrubbed by the service providers themselves, or if some just have exposure to deals done on the side and it "leaks" by accident (or design).
Probably back-office trades that are needed to give a certain wife of a president money as they moved on from futures! :o

some pre or after market pbars are just market makers settling up trades from earlier in the day that may have been missed by accident. the intraday ones i find more useful for trading purposes.

You should read "Dark Pools" and see how the automated trading caused the dot-com bubble....like this market.

I find it hard to imagine we set a red candlestick this large. The Nikkei & Hang Seng set a red candlestick, but India & Europe set a white one.

Is that not close to a 1.0 correlation (aside from their spread movement) as one is price and one is yield?

French short-term gov issues sold at a negative yield due to fear of safety.

PAGING A/D WATCHERS:
AD flaw is that it counts the number of stocks advancing/declining, it doesn’t tell HOW MUCH one stock may be advancing/declining v the others.
Example: if AAPL is up 10 points that counts as ONE advancing stock. If DD is up 1 point, that also counts as ONE up stock.
Bad example, as AAPL is not in the NYA, it just illustrates my point
Note: worth repeating: AAPL IS NOT IN THE NYA/NYSE/NYAD DATA
And AAPL appears to be the keynote benchmark stock of the year
(So what? The market is pegged to AAPL which isn’t even in our AD data??? Oy….)
All I can say is it’s a good thing Cobra watches AAPL and includes it in his EVERY post

The DAX doing well also.

Cobra, if you please - I'm sure I read a post from you last week where you still had a shortish-term target for the SPX as 1406.
Would I be correct in that assumption ?

Many thanks.

If not Cobra, then anyone ?
Thanks a lot.

hello hdenandy
this is cobra’s FREE board, where he targets INTRADAY measured moves (yellow boxes) and such.
His short/intermediate/long term targets and “evil plan” and much more are over on his SUBSCRIPTION board
So it’s not fair to cobra to address those Qs here
U could ask him tonight on his subscription board DISQUS comment section
We’d all like cobra to make a buck from subscriptions, so we try not to blabla too much here…..
[I apologize in advance if I misread your question, or if u think this post is disrespectful, as my intent is pure.... thanks]

There is a turn date of 13-16th, this usually yields 4% or more turns, so if we are to stay sideways from here to the turn, we could either go up to 1404 or down to 1296...

Thanks Al Dente for your reply.
I'm sure the comment was on one of the free boards, but not sure, so just trying to clarify.
Unfortunately, your after- hour discussions are usually past my bed time, so that's why I don't subscribe !

Thanks also to Tradergirl for your reply - will look forward to early next week then when things might get interesting !

Where's Miyagi?!?!?

He took his thumb of the turbo - and this is what happens (boring nothing).

Isn't it funny how I asked him to hit it right at the open = and it worked!!!

It's funny to me anyway.
If Ben find out the true mechanism which is moving the market is Miyagi's turbo button - he may have to go into hiding, or become a asian/pacific ghost hamster on Bennie's printing treadmill of doom.
